Over 60 % of Zambians live below the national poverty line, with the rural population suffering even much higher rates of around 78–79 % than in urban areas. Rural folk and small-scale farmers that provide over 80% of the maize consumed end up with nothing at the end of the harvest. CF will transform small-scale farming in to a highly rewarding business venture.
Zambia is a resource-rich nation, blessed with vast mineral wealth, yet too many struggle with poverty and limited opportunities. CF will distribute our natural resources equitably to give every Zambian access to quality education, healthcare, jobs, and a fair share of the nation’s prosperity — not just survival, but a chance to thrive.
The CF recognizes the reversal in developmental gains in the country and further notes new and emerging challenges. The CF will therefore undertake a very ambitious path of action to propel Zambia to where it ought to be. We will drive an ambitious expansionary economic policy intended to accelerate national development in line with the Vision 2030 of becoming a prosperous middle-income nation.
